Video Synopsis[]

Alone and having no time to get help, Luigi must fight The Darkness of Evil and Dark Sonic in order to save all of existence. However, even at times like these, help can come from unexpected places. And with this help, the final battle commences...

Plot[]

Both the Darkness of Evil and Dark Sonic arrived at some some outpost that's likely an abandoned hideout of Bowser's. They are there because the Darkness of Evil will be summoning the Frozen Sun. But in case someone actually finds them in the outpost, Dark Sonic is in charge of guard duty. Unfortunately for the villains, Luigi then showed up and had a fight with Sonic. Meanwhile, the Darkness of Evil summons the Frozen Sun and uses the Fire and Ice Shines to unleash its power, only to find out that Mario was resurrected and has absorbed the Frozen Sun's energy, ready to finish off the Darkness of Evil once and for all.

The episode then transitions to a flashback of how Mario was resurrected. Apparently, he met both Light and the Darkness of Good in the Overthere. After the Darkness of Good explains how he was separated into two beings, Light send Mario's mind to Luigi's in order to encourage him to be back to normal. With that, they gave Mario a new body and brought him back to life.

After the flashback, the Mario Bros. decided to defeat both Sonic and the Darkness of Evil with Mario tapping into his Sand Mario form. In the end, Sonic returns to normal while the Darkness of Evil was completely obliterated. However, both were knocked unconscious.

Meanwhile, Silver and Blaze arrive at Luigi's Mansion to inspect the damage caused there with Yoshi and Rouge then showing up. Knuckles is flying in the air looking for Tikal until he found her, but mourning over Shadow.

With Mario, both him and Sonic were brought to Bowser's Castle for recovery. Luigi and Kamek then showed up and Kamek explained that because the heroes were fighting near Bowser's territory, Bowser decided to go and see what the commotion was about. After finding the three heroes, he told his minions to bring him back to the castle and heal them. With that, Kamek leaves and Bowser shows up, asking the Mario Bros. to come and eat dinner with him. Mario is confused as to why Bowser would save him, so Bowser showed them that ever since the Mario Bros. and Shadow brought Metal Sonic and the Eggman's rebellious robots to him, they have been having fun with Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings. As such, he saved them as a method to repay his debt. Bowser then tells the Mario Bros. that his minions have informed their friends that they're in his castle. With that, everyone had dinner. Afterwards, Luigi decided to break up with Daisy. A couple of days later, Sonic recovers, upset that Tikal found Shadow's body. Afterwards, the three heroes had a long walk back to Peach's Castle. Back at the castle, Mario and talking to Peach while Daisy is running away from Luigi, most likely devastated that he has broken up with her. The final shot of the series is on Angel Island where Shadow's tombstone was seen.

Meanwhile, in an unknown base, Mecha Sonic, Galacta Knight and Ganondorf are there. They were soon greeted by Eggman Nega, who Mecha Sonic is about to kill. Only for their new leader, Dimentio, to tell him not to as he's a vital part to his plan. With that, Dimentio introduces himself to his new allies and welcomes them to his team, the Dimension Corps. He tells them about his goal of recreating all dimensions and how he was apparently saved by the Darkness of Evil from the Underwhere. With that, he announces that his evil plan is about to begin, kickstarting the events of Sprite Chronicles: Time and Space.
